Gareth Bale has announced that he is set to depart Real Madrid in a letter published to his social media to Real Madrid fans, players, staff, and the board of the club after nine years of playing for the club although he has not been a fan’s and a managers favorite as he becomes a free agent for the first time in his career.

Bale began by thanking them for support the letter read as follows  “,I write this message to say thank you to all my teammates, past and present, my managers, the backroom staff, and to the fans that supported me,”.He continued to reminisce on winning the champions league as it is what the club is famous for and thanked them for making his dream possible as well for the journey. He concluded with honoring moments shared and stating that he is proud of being part of the history of this distinct club.

Bale has only made seven appearances in all seasons, and it became almost inevitable that he would leave this summer and has not received a proper send-off. The Sports star did not feature in the last game of the Spanish domestic league and the finals of the Champions League triumph besides being fit for both games as he fell back from the packing order. His next destination is still not known.
