The event took place at the College of the arts on the 23rd of July and a good number of local film lovers have showed up.
Thomas Shangula, Sebulon David, Andreas Elifas, Lelly Karen, and Hashtag are some of the special guests who attended the event. Jackson Nghinamhito well known as Jacky Pop who is the writer, director and the producer of Omunahambo Wange attended the event.
Jacky Pop said, FilmsIcon company specializes in creating entertainment such as movies, TV shows, and short films.
“The vision of FilmsIcon is to be one of the leading producers and distributors
of entertainment and information in Africa,” he said.
Sisco Amunyela the MC encouraged the audience to always support the local filmmakers.
Thomas Shangula urged the audience to be active in the film industry and to attend screening events, and also to always invite friends to events like this.
“It is the very first film screening event of FilmsIcon and we are looking forward to
more events like this. We wish to extend this to other towns in Namibia.” Jacky Pop said.
