Namibia Ready For 2023 African Beach Games

Namibia is among several participant countries for 2023 African Beach Games, the competition which is set to run tomorrow the 23rd until 30th June in Yasmine Hammamet Resort, Tunisia.

Namibia represented by Suzelle Pronk and Phillip Seidler are among 1000 participants from 53 countries that are anticipated in the competition which is expected to attract over 500 volunteers and 5000 spectators.

African countries will participate in 15 sport disciplines such as Karate, Open Water Swimming, Canoeing and Athletic among the key sports and eagerly awaited beach soccer in the men’s and women’s categories.

According to Joan Cuscó, president of Beach Games Worldwide, African Beach Games is wonderful event for the continent.

 “This is another demonstration to develop sports in Africa,” he said.

The second edition of African Beach Games competition continues to gain popularity and provide aspiring opportunity for athletes who don’t have opportunity to represent their countries in other international Olympic competition

According to Beach Soccer Worldwide, for several disciplines, African Beach Games will serve as qualifies for World Beach Games scheduled to take place this year early August in Bali, Indonesia.
