Two 17 years old boys were put in custody for stealing electronics worth N$15 000 from Ben Cell Phone Repair and Part Shop in Mondesa in Swakopmund yesterday.
As stated by the police, the suspects allegedly broke into the business premises by vigorously opening the door with unknown objects on Wednesday around 18:00 and stole several electronic items from the store.
These include thirteen(13) functioning cell phones, six(6) non-functioning cell phones, three(3) tablets, seven(7) cell phone covers, two(2) laptop batteries, a laptop charger, four(4) cell phone batteries, two(2) iPhone cables, and six(6) screen protectors.
They also allegedly stole two Huawei motherboards, a Huawei charging board, eleven(11) cell phone parts, a speaker, a broken sound box, two(2) soldering irons, and side cutter pliers.
According to the police, most of the stolen things were corrected and handed over to the owner, excluding four(4) screen protectors and a touchpad tablet.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
