A seven-year-old boy was hit by an oncoming vehicle while he was crossing the road at Oshakati West on Friday.
The incident happened at around 13:20 and a case of careless driving and driving without a license was opened against a 27-year-old suspect who was arrested afterward says Nampol’s Thomas Aiyambo.
It is alleged that the driver ignored red traffic lights and bumped a minor who was crossing the road.
The victim, who is a learner at Oshakati Primary School, was picked up by that same driver and taken to the hospital where he get treatment for back pain, injury on the left leg and bruises on his head.
